Road-STEAMer and Panteion University hosted a pivotal event on STE(A)M education policy, practices, and funding at Panteion University in Athens on January 14, 2025.

This dynamic gathering brought together experts, educators, and policymakers for an inspiring mix of workshops and panel discussions. Key topics included the future of STE(A)M research and innovation, evolving policies, curriculum adaptation, and advancements in open schooling practices.

Our workshop on STEAM education policy recommendations turned into an engaging and insightful session, where together with consortium partners and dedicated stakeholders, we critically examined and validated the policy recommendations for STEAM, exploring their real-world feasibility.

Using the Brainwalk method, we transformed the room into an interactive policy lab, where ideas flowed from flipcharts to sticky notes, sparking constructive debates and fresh perspectives.

The live Mentimeter ratings added an extra layer of reflection, helping us gauge the likelihood of implementation. While external participation was smaller than anticipated, the quality of discussions more than made up for it—leading to sharp insights and unexpected takeaways.

A few informal learnings? Well, let’s just say that the future of STEAM education policy is all about adaptability, collaboration, and maybe even a little bit of creative disruption.

Stay tuned for what’s next!
